About NASF
The Dutch Albert Schweitzer Foundation offers start-up grants, through the provision of microgifts, to small-scale, local health projects in Africa. We operate on the basis of the vision of Nobel Peace Price winner Albert Schweitzer: A Reverence for Life, which holds respect for all living creatures at its core. In addition, the foundation yearly grants the Albert Schweitzer Award to young Dutch people who have been involved in a development project or initiative benefiting health care in Africa.
