About ASF
Albert Schweitzer Fonds has been supporting small-scale health projects in Sub-Saharan Africa since 1976. In remote places, we help vulnerable groups and communities improve their health.
Our fund is named after Nobel laureate Albert Schweitzer. With his hospital in Lambaréné (Gabon, Africa), he dedicated his life to helping the sick and poor.
Following in the footsteps of Albert Schweitzer, we work with local health pioneers – individuals or small organisations who want to do something to improve a health problem in their area.

Why are we needed?
Many people in Africa have insufficient control over their health and that of their children, because good healthcare is not available to them, they have no money or their living conditions cause diseases.
How does ASF help?
With small-scale, practical projects, we help to significantly advance the health of thousands of people in Sub-Saharan Africa. We support projects that are initiated thanks to the strength and ingenuity of people themselves. They decide, they do.

What can we do with your support?
With 3,000 euros, we provide a clinic for mothers and children with medical equipment. With 4,000 euros, we provide therapy to hundreds of children with disabilities. With 5,000 euros, primary school children get clean, safe and running water.
100% of every euro you donate goes to the projects
