This project aims to reduce ARV default rates and boost teen club participation among HIV-positive children and teens by creating youth-friendly spaces at Mtwalo and Matuli Health Centers. Teen clubs provide HIV/AIDS education, SRH information, and peer support, but lack engaging facilities. The project will install playgrounds and summer huts with sports and games to increase attendance, promote mental and physical well-being, reduce stigma, and enhance access to HIV care and SRH services.

Malawi faces rising new HIV infections among teens, with low ARV adherence due to stigma, disengagement and lack of youth-friendly spaces leading to poor health outcomes. The targeted health centers lack safe and interactive spaces like playground equipment and activities to attract teens attend teen club meetings which reduces stigma, discrimination, contributes to treatment
